My Way

And now, my life's begun
And so I face the open curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain.

I'll live a life that's full
I'll travel each and every highway
But more, much more than this
I'll do it my way

Regrets, I'll have a few
But then again, too few to mention
I'll do what I have to do
And see it through without exemption

I'll plan each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
But more, much more than this
I'll do it my way

Yes, there'll be times, I'm sure of it
When I'll bite off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there is doubt
I'll eat it up and spit it out
I'll face it all and I'll stand tall
And do it my way

I'll love; I'll laugh and cry
I'll have my fill - my share of losing
And then, as tears subside
I'll find it all so amusing

To think I'll do all that
And may I say - won't be a shy way,
"No, oh no not me,
I'll do it my way".

For what is a man, what will he have?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
I'll tell you now - I'll take the blows -
And do it my way!
